Moving small rework batches between plant and supplier

A rework batch is usually small but time-critical: the parts are missing in production for as long as they are at the supplier. We transport the affected batch to the processing partner and back again – with a batch reference both companies understand and separately planned outbound and return trips.

Match the complaint, purchase list and prepared packages: if only some items are reworked, unaffected parts do not automatically travel along. On the way back the scope can change, for example due to new packaging or parts retained by the partner. We therefore plan the collection at the partner only after they confirm the rework is finished and with the packing list valid at that point.

Can the same packing list apply to both directions?

Only if contents and packaging really stay the same. Ask the partner to confirm the return once the work is complete. New containers, combined items or retained parts change the shipment and belong in an updated overview.

An exchange spindle is a valuable single part with its own identification, packaging and handover point – and often the bottleneck for restarting a machine. We transport the new or overhauled spindle to production and, if required, the removed unit to the spindle service. We plan both directions as separate, clearly referenced shipments.
