Plan your transport

Add the packing instructions from the person responsible for the instrument to your enquiry and mark which cases belong together. List separately prepared tripods, reflectors or laptops as their own items. We plan collection and delivery so that the shipment is received by people who know the measurement equipment – their availability may differ from the plant’s general opening hours. At handover, the complete case list serves as the shared checklist for both sides.

One measurement setup, several packages

A typical laser tracker job includes the tracker case, tripod, reflector case, cables and often a measurement computer. If different people pack these items, something is easily missing at the destination. A numbered case list with contents, dimensions and weight makes the setup plannable as one consignment and helps the metrology team check everything on arrival.

Plan receipt and measurement start separately

The measurement start is set by your project, the handover by who is available on site. State the latest useful handover window and add who receives the tracker if the metrology team arrives later. This allows the transport to match the actual need without unnecessary interim storage.

What matters

  • Record all cases, tripods and reflectors in one list
  • Describe the packed condition of the sensor head
  • Agree the receiving time with the metrology team, not just the gate
