When a device or assembly is exchanged – whether through the manufacturer’s exchange programme or your service provider – two transports are linked: the replacement must arrive on time and the old unit must go back. We coordinate both directions as one exchange project with separate shipments, their own dates and clear serial numbers.

Agree the contacts for both directions with maintenance and the supplier. Serial or inventory numbers distinguish replacement and old unit, even if they look identical. Clarify which packaging is intended for each direction and when it becomes available – often it is the same crate. A shared project reference keeps the processes together, while separate packing lists describe each shipment.

How do I plan if the old unit only becomes free after installation?

State the planned installation sequence and have maintenance confirm when the old unit will be ready. The return gets its own readiness date. If installation is postponed, we only adjust the return collection – the replacement delivery is not affected.

Transporting exchange spindles for machine tools

An exchange spindle is a valuable single part with its own identification, packaging and handover point – and often the bottleneck for restarting a machine. We transport the new or overhauled spindle to production and, if required, the removed unit to the spindle service. We plan both directions as separate, clearly referenced shipments.

Identifying individual devices by serial and inventory numbers

With several devices of the same type, the serial number is often the only thing that tells them apart. We carry your serial or inventory numbers together with the package reference through the entire transport. The recipient can then check every unit against their device list at handover and sign for it.

Bringing an industrial device back to the plant after service

After repair, calibration or overhaul, the device should be back in production quickly. We collect it from the service partner as soon as it is packed and released and bring it directly to the responsible department in your plant. The basis is the scope confirmed by the service partner – not the status of the outbound shipment.
