Location and handover point
The official directory lists separate seaports, airports and customs locations across the emirates. Include the full consignee details and any required handover point alongside the destination. Explain whether the receiver will collect at a terminal or needs onward delivery to its premises. These details provide a basis for checking an available connection and the final transport leg before a quotation is prepared.
Planning example for this task
Bring purchasing and engineering together in one item list: component identifier, released condition, packaging and order reference. Matched parts must remain identifiable even when they originate from different sites.
Where does the requested leg end?
Separate a possible terminal point from the final address. For each handover, identify who releases and receives the goods and who arranges the next move. A port name alone does not define a transport route.
What matters
- Give the emirate, district and complete delivery address.
- Include the free zone name and receiving contact where relevant.
- Specify terminal handover or unloading at the consignee’s premises.
- Record component and order reference for each package
- Distinguish engineering release from collection readiness
- Clarify receiving authority and cover for each site
Sources and their scope
Sources describe countries or individual locations. They do not confirm a transport service or an available date. Access and execution must be agreed for the actual job.
The government page lists Jebel Ali in Dubai and Khalifa Port as distinct ports.
